you are right "Matt" but I think nevertheless that it could be embarrassing after 12 or 14 age for a son to be seen naked or semi-naked by his mother even if he is enough comfortable with her presence because he is used to it.
if it happened when he was already older and occasionally without he was expecting her presence, it is obvious that it is more embarrassing.
To "Brad", I am wondering why your aunt had not gone out of the exam room if she was also embarrassed to be present during your naked examination because at the age of 15 you were enough old to be alone for a school physical exam.
she was not forced to fold away all your clothes and to sit and watch at your exam, at least she could have turn away her head during your intimate examination.
