During a recent colonoscopy, I told the GI doc that I didn't want any amnesia/sedation drugs, but one of the nurses pushed Versed into my IV anyway. I was forced to lie imoble, in agony, unable to communicate or move as I listened to all of the sickening comments made by the doc and his idiot nurses about my colon, my weight and how I was a baby for obviously being in such distress. When one of the nurses questioned my need for painkiller, the GI doc said: don't bother, she won't remember being in all that pain, courtesy of our friend Versed". I have never been so roughly treated in my life; I'm a RN with 25 years of experience and have never experiened anything like this. Anyone else have a terrible Versed experience? One of the nurses said to check out askapatient.com the comments about colonoscopy with Versed are horrible.
