 I finally got my results back from the biopsy. It turned out negative on cancer issues but I might have developed an infection. He is treating me with antibiotics.

From what I understand and have read lately, the prostate biopsy is beginning to lose popularity with the medical profession. First of all, it has become an issue with patients experiencing infections after a biopsy. Secondly, I have read that the mere biopsy itself can spread cancer cells if they already exist. I also understand that now an MRI or CAT scan can serve the same purpose, without risk of infection or worse.
