i am the eldest niece, tagged with every family name my parents could fit on a birth certificate.

uncle bob's younger sister, my mother, passed away earlier this year. it is sad to lose two very talented and gifted people in one family so close together, but they both lived long interesting lives.

uncle bob never said much about himself or his work as a designer. as a young child, in the early '60's i loved to sit next to him on a bench in our kitchen and watch him drew sketches of his little dachsund, weasel. he got such a kick out of making my younger twin sisters and me laugh as he drew his cute cartoon pictures of dear old weasel.

but we knew he was really waiting for aunt evie to call us all for dinner because she made the best swedish meatballs in the whole world he said and she could make the best damn pea soup too!

boy were we lucky kids to have such a neat aunt and uncle.

jagaj~
