Chapter 15

Ian stood in front of Sara. The too-small towel was slung low on his hips and his long curls were slicked back after his shower. All together the ultimate picture of a gorgeous, satisfied male. Seeing him like this Sara could only remember the hours it took her to imprint every inch of that heavenly body upon her very soul.

His beard was growing in a little bit more, but was still nowhere near the length of the beard on Luke. Sara thanked her stars for that small blessing. Without the difference in facial hair that had caught her attention would she have been able to tell the difference? Would her instincts have warned her? Would she have been able to stop? Or would she have continued drowning in the familiar pleasures Luke had shared with her?

Sara reached her arms out and wrapped them around Ian’s waist. She pressed her face against his warm belly and nuzzled the soft dusting of dark hair. Filling her senses with his presence. It really had been a wonderful night and she hated to come back to reality so quickly.

“Sara.” Ian spoke in an amused voice. “This is not talking.”

With a sigh, Sara leaned back and looked up at him. “At least come down here to my level and hold me while we talk.”

Dropping the towel, Ian did as she asked and climbed into the bed beside her. He curled up behind her and wrapped his strong arms lovingly around her.

“Better?” He asked, nuzzling the top of her head with his chin. “What do you want to talk about, then my Lady?”

Sara sighed again. “What do you think? Ian, what is he doing here? When I woke up fully and he was here, I didn’t know where you were and I was afraid…afraid he had hurt you.”

“I am sorry, Sara. I didn’t expect him to come wake you. Although, I should have; it is, after all, what I would have done.” Ian tightened his arms around Sara. “Luke and I have…an understanding, now. It is so hard to explain. Irons’ plan didn’t work. Instead of getting a new model servant with Luke, he created what to him will only be a monster. Luke’s input was created from my last few moments of consciousness. Instead of my lifetime of service to Kenneth Irons he received my hate, anger and pain. His loyalty is to us, Sara. Not to Kenneth Irons.”

“Creepy.” Sara replied with a shudder. “Why do you call him Luke?”

“It seemed to fit, and he rather likes it. We thought it would get a trifle confusing with two Ian’s walking around.” Amusement was reflected in Ian’s tone of voice.

“It is confusing. Ah…Ian?” Sara inquired slowly, not sure how to phrase her next question.

“Hmmmm?” He replied as he moved the hair away from the back of her neck and nibbled on the exposed nape.

“Why didn’t it bother you to find us in bed together?” Sara blurted her question out quickly. Glad her blushing face was turned from him.

“How can I be upset or jealous, Sara?” Ian asked seriously. “You were, after all, in bed with me. Luke is me. His thoughts and feelings are my thoughts, my feelings, my desire and love for you. How can I be angry with myself? Besides, it was extremely enjoyable.”

“It was what?” Sara’s voice rose as she jumped up and turned to face him.

“Enjoyable. The sensations were most exciting.” Ian’s eyes grew dark with remembered passion. .

“You could feel what we were doing?” Sara’s jaw dropped as she looked at him.

“That, and what you were feeling. Is that not usual when couples are intimate?” Ian’s rich dark eyes looked up into Sara’s as he reached his hand out to caress her cheek.

Sara took a deep breath. She would have to remember that not only did Ian not have any previous sexual experience. He also lacked the so-called “normal” moral upbringing and constraints of behavior that would conflict and bind another male. With what she knew of Kenneth Irons’ sexual history she could only wonder at what Ian would actually consider “normal” sexual behavior. A concept that could have definite possibilities.

“Wait a minute! If you could feel when he was with me, could he…could he feel us when we were together?” Sara paused as the thought struck her.

“Of course. He indicated it was most enjoyable, and he was quite impressed with your experience. He felt it was very helpful to us.” Ian smiled at her approvingly.

Sara pulled the sheets back over her head. “And this doesn’t bother you?”

“Well, no. Should it? Does it bother you, Sara?” Concern was evident in Ian’s voice as he reached down to pull the covers off her head.

Sara blushed once again. “I think so. I mean…I just don’t know Ian. It’s…it’s embarrassing. When I think of the things I said, or did. To know someone else was basically there, with us. You are telling me we had a threesome. And that the two of you who knew about it enjoyed it greatly!”

“Immensely, Sara, we enjoyed it immensely. And, actually, Sara, it was a foursome.” Ian looked down as he spoke.

“What!!!”

Ian reached over and grabbed the forgotten cup of coffee Luke had brought in with him. He handed it over to Sara. Hoping the caffeine would help soothe her.

“Did we never actually discuss the link Kenneth Irons has with you?”

Sara’s hand stopped on the way up to her mouth with the cup. “Eeeewww! Ian, what are you telling me?”

“You are linked with Kenneth through his wearing of The Witchblade. He can experience some of what you are feeling, some of what is happening to you. Not to the extent that Luke and I can. But…enough.”

Sara looked ill for a moment. Her mind flashing back to any and all sexual experiences she had since she acquired The Witchblade. “Oh my God. I never knew. No wonder he looks at me like that. That, that pervert!”

Reaching out Ian took her in his arms again. “If it’s any consolation, Sara. Luke has told me that Kenneth is quite…exhausted this morning. He bitterly complained about the lack of sleep he received due to your lack of consideration.”

Sara looked up at Ian at started to laugh. “I guess that could be considered the upside to this situation. Where’s that coffee cup again.”

Ian handed it to her with a smile of relief. It would appear that Sara was beginning to be a little more accepting of the situation at hand.

“Did you say Luke would be making breakfast? Let me get dressed and let’s go see what he’s put together. You have helped me work up quite an appetite Mr. Nottingham.” Sara raised her head for a kiss as she spoke.

Ian met her lips halfway, his passion rising yet again for his love. “You don’t have to bother getting dressed Sara. Luke and I are fine…” His sentence broke off as Sara looked at him sharply. It would appear that some things would take a little more time for Sara to get used to than others.
