I would like to hear from you how you have dealt with resistance during school hours in your children. I have 8 children, but only one of them causes trouble. I'm sure if he were in public school they would want him on medication. He is hyper active & I have made adjustments around that like not insisting that he sit down through read aloud, but he must not disturb. I let him stand at the table when doing bookwork. He still gives me trouble & not just during school. He bothers & disturbs the other children when I'm not in the room. This year we have used KONOS and that approach has made a differance. We talk & read a lot more now. Josh is 9 and learns really fast so he gets bored. He still doesn't read very well. He knows how he just won't, that is what I'm concerned about. There are days when he doesn't do any work at all basically because he refuses. He loses all of his daily privledges and has more chores, this doesn't always work though. I find myself spending all my time with him and neglecting my other kids in their work. Any advice???
