I homeschooled the first half of kindergarten, and academically was great, half way through he asked me what he had done, and why he couldn't go to school like everyone else. So i let him go to kindergarten, big mistake, academically he was unchallenged because he was ahead of other kids, so teachers didn't challenge. He just played in the sand box all day with his new friends. Not a problem, but now all he wants to do is go back to school, to play with his friends, I would love to have them over to play after school, but many of the parents have not responded to my ovetures to make play dates. I suspect it is because my son is speech delayed (much inproved, would not even qualify for special services anymore if they tested him now) and parents assume he is retarded and judge they do not want their child wasting their time with him. I have been unsucessful getting together with homeschoolers too. Any suggestions??
