I thought REDS was just a distributor for Kaiyodo and other companies like McFarlane Toys in Japan. Kaiyodo is already using SINKA as their new distributor so I doubt there's any effect on their action figure division. Their action figures merely got delayed like Kenshiro 200X version 2. To me, Kaiyodo is still the same slow-paced toy company that only releases no more than 5 action figures per year, with their main focus on producing candy toys, trading figures, and gashapon.

I suppose it's good for us toy collectors (especially those who are impatient and with extremely tight budget like me) that Kaiyodo is making more trading figures and gashapons that are smaller and more affordable. If they were to make a 7" scale DMC line, it'd take them YEARS to finish making them just like their Trigun line. Not to mention it's gonna cost an arm and a leg like Beyond the Grave and most probably Gazelle the Peacemaker's gonna be about the same price as Grave. Just look at how many years it took them to make Gazelle the Peacemaker from the first sketches to the final painted prototype we saw last year. And now we have to wait a couple more months before it gets released. What's the release date for Gazelle? July? Then there's Legato that's to be released by the end of this year but it'll probably get delayed till next year. I think there's still about 5 more characters left to be made for the Trigun line out of the 11 contracted for the line. It'll probably take them more than half a decade to finish the line. *sigh* Is Kaiyodo understaffed or something?!

I'm just glad that kick ass DMC figs are made, even if they are merely 3.5" tall. Here's hoping they'd make a series 3 and onwards till they milk the license dry and still milk it even if it bleeds!! :p
