i just answered an ad in our paper about a Chinese Crested for sale. The lady supposedly shows her Chinese Crested dogs at dog shows. The ad claimed AKC Chinese Crested. Here's my question : Are the hairless type completely hairless w/ the exceptions of head, feet & tail? She advertised them as hairless yet only the complete underside of the puppy is hairless. The top of the back has a like "5 o'clock shadow" type of hair. Kind of like it was shaved down so the skin would show & also told & showed me how to use a trimmer to trim it up. She had powderpuffs also & they had hair all over like a normal dog yet this 4 month old puppy is only bare on it's complete underside. It also has "puppy acne" ( what she called it) but i was wondering if it wasn't from the trimming it had been getting. No matter what this dog has won my heart & now has a new home w/ me. I'm used to rescuing dogs from the pound have NEVER spent this much on an animal for myself but it was a dream of mine for YEARS !!! I just wanted to know if this was legit or if i was scammed !!!!
