Subject: chocking after drinking water

 My 18 month old hairless CC Dino always makes a chocking/gagging noise after drinking water. He never does this after eating only drinking. He does this noise until it seems like he coughs up something but I never see anything and then he is fine. My vet cannot find anything wrong. Is this common or does anyone have any idea what might be going on?
