Gracie did not play with toys for a really long time and most of the time still will not play "catch". I got her one of those tree trunks with the little squirrels in it. I resorted to putting treats into in and she has to get the treats out. Now she will play with her tree trunk even when there are no treats in it. I used to have a little Maltese, and she did not play catch either, although she did like to play with toys. But she was a youngster when I got her and Gracie was 5 years old when I got her.
