Just curious as to why you would like to adopt any pet when you go off to college. College, I'm sure will be a big transiton and very time consuming and to take on the responsiblity of a new pup at this time may be too overwhelming for you and the pup. They like children need a lot of attention and time, particularly a rescue. Your parents would have to take on much of the responsibility as you settle in to your new college life. Are they willing to do this? My suggestion is that you wait until you are settled into College life and see how much time you can dedicate to looking after a crestie. They are very social dogs and absolutly love to be around people. Consult with your parents and make it a family decision. If at that point you all feel it is something you would like to do then fill out an application to adopt. Good luck.
