Hmmm...sounds like a typical Crestie to me. I have a couple that are avid wood chewers...if there's a stick in the yard, they'll find it (those two are also my poo eaters). Of all the things you listed what concerns me most is the mulch as much of it can be treated with toxic chemicals (and, of course, if you use any chemical treatment on your lawn).

You might consider taking this baby in for a full blood panel to see if there's anything awry with the bloodwork that might explain it, but...most likely, this is more of a compulsive behavior than a medical one. In that case, the best you can do is watch her like a hawk and try to eliminate anything that could be toxic to her system as best you can.
