Just like people, what works for one dog may not work for another....I can honestly say that I have more skin care products for my dogs than I do myself. For blackheads, search our archives re yogurt/honey baths - it works. Not an instant fix by any means, but definitely works over time. It's a fine line between keeping the hairless kids well groomed and overbathing. Over-bathing can cause as many skin issues as not enough. Again, it is very individual to each dog. I have one hairless kid that needs to be bathed at least every other week, and a couple others with awesome skin that I bathe once a month (more in the summer months). Premium food is also key to their health and skin...no junk fillers, byproducts, grains, etc. in their diet will go a long way to dealing with skin issues. Also, genetics plays a big role in skin as well....I've had puppymill dogs with incredible skin, and dogs from "respected" breeders with awful skin...it all goes back to the genetics.
