We brought home our little adoption 6 weeks ago. (Polly) The first few days she had a couple of accidents and she was very shy. Well she has come out of her shell, but after a good 5 weeks of being perfectly potty trained, She has peed and pood in the house about 3X each. AND the weather is good, it's not cold out, and she is a puff. She will play for long periods with out other Puff outside, then come in and pee. We have a doggy door and large fenced yard( 1.5 acres). We try to get the dogs out a couple times in the morning and a few times during the day, even when they are going out on their own. I have tried the things suggested in books, but tethering her to me does not work, and we are just not sure what to do. it is frustrating, and i'm sure she senses my anger, even tho i don't punish her, i think she feels the tension, which i'm sure does not help the issue. She is 1.5 yrs old and should be house trained by now. How can she be so good for 5 weeks then regress? is this laziness? I was going to get a urine sample for the dr, but since it is Poop as well as pee, i don't think it is a health issue.
