Subject: Vigor Battery Reconditioning Author: Frank Certich [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: 11:47:16 01/05/00 Wed I cannot completely drain my battery as required by the RECON program because my Vigor laptop keeps going into SUSPEND even though POWER MANAGEMENT in the BIOS is turned OFF. I have drained the battery manually, external w/power resistors, and put back in my laptop to charge. Appears to charge but after GREEN charge light is on and I pull the plug to test ... it only lasts for about 7 minutes before going into SUSPEND. I am using W95 Release 2. RECON-N.EXE (27KB). ??? Why does my laptop keep going into SUSPEND even though it is turned OFF in the BIOS ??? ??? Does the BIOS/system software need to be updated to know that the battery has been recharged and to run until it dies, w/power management turned off ??? Any other info will be appreciated.
