I didn't read the article, but I would assume you are correct. It is a typo.
According to an e-mail I received the other day from Transmonde, the new model they are coming out (in about 6 wks) with is the Vibrant XLe, not the Vivante XLe. It is supposed to have "more video and graphic support". What this means exactly, I don't know.
