Subject: Connor or Conner?

Hi.
I was wondering, do we know the actual spelling? I guess that to all Highlander fans like me it would have to be Connor, but to my knowledge Conner is also valid. So do we have any canon support for either of them?
Btw I'm asking because I saw the spelling being listed as a pet peeve in a few posts.

Yes, we have canon support. In the episode "Loyalty," in which Angel took Connor to the doctor, the two blood vials were both marked "Connor" Angel. Also, closed captioning uses "Connor." And, when in doubt, I always check the official site. Their spelling? Connor.

I was surprised when one author chose to use the spelling "Conor" and cited this reason in her story notes: that a reader had written to tell her "Conor" was the original spelling of the name, and therefore Angel was apparently most likely to have used that version. This author said she checked out that information, found out it was correct, and went with "Conor" for that reason. I wondered why she went to all the trouble of researching the origins of the name, rather than checking out a reputable source about the show that would have been far more likely to give her an accurate answer.
