I agree, the best way to ruin a breed is to baby them to death.People tend to forget that these "babies" are dogs and expected to protect us and give their lives if need be. I do prefer to keep my dogs close by (in the house) because a) I love dog compamy, they make me laugh and
b) it's a comfort thing, I just feel safer knowing there is a big dog guarding my house while my kids and I are sound asleep (like babies).
