Count me in. For the record I took my 4 1/2 month old (I think, David)puppy to schutzhund class today along with my GSD. We did obedience in front of and in close proximity of other handlers. I am concentrating on heeling and focus. We work without a leash so focus is mandatory. I don’t feel corrections at this age are necessary as it is up to me as a handler to be the most interesting thing on the field. His obedience is snappy and I am satisfied with his progress. By the way this is the first time he didn’t get car sick on the way to class which is a 50 minute ride, each way, in a crate. After class he interacted with the other members and on his own jumped up in a step van to visit a GSD puppy that was in a crate. I took him in our equipment shed and let him run with my 8 year on GSD on the training field after training was finished. During bite work I put him in a small enclosure so he can see what is going on. Of course he barks out of frustration as is my desire to make him want to participate when the time comes. Tracking will start next week as I have had to delay this until now because of a medical problem. Will try to post some short streaming videos next week as we have a first rate helper coming in from Dallas.
