Totally agree with you on that. A lovely touching film and John Thaw portrayal of the gruff, lonely man brought back to joy and happiness was marvellous to watch. Just reading Sheila Hancocks book 'The Two of Us' and its a great insight into her life and the life she shared with her husband. I'm no 'celeb watcher' but there was something about John Thaw that was eminently watchable, you had the feeling he was a decent fella and Ms Hancock's book reflects this. And she's such a glamorous lady, they were well matched. I can't imagine how it feels to have and lose the love of your life but she seems to be a tower of strength. A great lady.
