Hi Theresa
I’m glad you are enjoying “Mitch” and it’s a sheer pleasure getting it for you, because I knew you’d enjoy it as much as me, we both know what a terrific actor he is and can watch him in whatever suits us at the time.
Yes, I’m not keen on Mitch’s relationship’s with all the women he keeps seeing but I guess it’s what they decided was going to be his character.
I think you know by now my feelings on this wonderful series, vagually remember it from 1984 when it was first screened, some of the scenes are bringing back memories of it.
There was a lot of bad press about it at the time, especially as London Weekend Television released it TWO years after it was made, and the stories by this time were out of date, and didn't seem right on screen.
This is the reason that John wasn't happy, and vowed he'd never work for them again.
Have to say that now these stories don't appear out dated at all, in fact many of them are still true today, and they've stood the test of time.
Have to say the acting is outstanding, especially from John as usual, and his co-stars put in great performances as well, as do the guest stars.
So far i've watched this series 3 times, and every time i watch it i see new things about it, at the moment i'm watching "The Rag Trade", but when i've finished that i'll be watching Mitch again!
I don't care what anyone else thinks (the press), i'd give it 10/10, granted some of the camera work is a little shaky at times, and they appear to rush some scenes but on the whole this is one drama worth getting your hands on if you don't have it. GO GET IT, YOU WON'T REGRET IT.
Yes, well Theresa it was supposed to be a Christmas present, but what the heck enjoy it now, i don't mind!Janet.
