If we remember that the parts of the historical event that are not factual must come from Mac's mind. Unless I am badly mistaken, did the prosecutor really ask the Captain's wife if she loved him? Wasn't that just Mac's thoughts about her love for Mic? You can see the parallels. The captain's wife is loyal to him, but is conflicted about her love.

The third mutineer had Harm's face. Mac had told Harm in LL to get rid of that lifeline before it became a noose. Now Mic was tightening the noose as her marriage got nearer. That part...Harm's image, came from her mind. So I too believe that Mutiny was very important for explaining how Mac was feeling after the porch incident. And in this episode, Harm comes as near as he dare to articulating his feelings about the marriage. He can't come out and say...don't marry him. But he tries and she doesn't bite. She's still in the confusion stage..and we see that via her imagination when doing the research.

I liked the ep except that it was a let down at the time coming right after LL.
