For a moment I thought I was watching the History Channel and its program The Color of War, which shows real WWII documentary films made in the then-newest technicolor feature (I'm sure I saw a couple of these on the actual show). I really liked the episode and it made me cry (and USA aired The Guardian, another tearjerker for moi), especially at Nurse Bev's death. She died on the line of duty. CB did a great job-and her belly's showing! :)

I had a hard time recognizing KT in her brown wig. She, as well as PL as the ba@$#%d doctor had a fine performance. JMJ as the chaplain was so sweet and caring that he looked like a different actor (was it my eyes or his hair was slightly dark?). Kudos also to Isabella Hoffmann, Michael Bellisario and Zoe sorry-I-don't-remember-her-last-name-but-she's the-one-that-plays-Coates; they were superb in this episode.

Anotehr question- was Corporal Tanner portrayed by CC (Tiner)?

The disguised prejudice that the chaplain showed towards the janitor (SL) was very poignant IMO. "I didn't know you were a church-goer."-"Yes, I read the same Good Book as you."-"Baptist?"-"Catholic." Short lines that said a lot.

And hey, role-playing in the 40's...? (Perhaps there's still a little innocence inside this 5'2 frame...) Whooo, did Lt. Ron-please-get-me-a-towel-I'm-drooling got a little frisky! :O

Hey, and DJE didn't quit smoking in 1998?

(Thanks, Grandma, for the towel)

On a personal note, this episode made me wish and pray for peace more than ever.
