Legacy Parts 1 and 2

While Harm is sent to Russia to help the Russians implement their military justice procedures, Mac and Bud remain behind to prosecute a Navy Commander charged with selling military secrets to the Russians. In Russia, Harm becomes involved in investigating high level corruption in the military. Meanwhile, the traitorous Naval officer Mac was prosecuting and his lawyer are murdered. Mac and Webb discover that the traitor was linked to a plot to assassinate the Russian President. Harm is caught in an ambush with Sgt. Sergei Zhukov of the Russian army who reveals that they share a father. Zhukov is then framed for a crime and Harm must defend him in a kangaroo court. Mac tries to get to Harm before the Russian president is assassinated.

Florida Straits

When the captain of a Navy frigate rescues a young girl in Cuban waters and sets off the beginnings of an international incident, Harm’s investigation leads him to Cuba and a meeting with Castro. This episode features the lady INS agent with her line to Harm about if she wasn’t too short, too old, too married.

Flight Risk

When two naval aviators are killed in the crash of their newly upgraded F-14 jet, Harm uncovers improprieties with the contractor and the Navy liaison. Mic Brumby, now a civilian lawyer, represents the contractor and hands Harm the evidence needed to prove negligence. This episode also features Harm coming into his apartment and finding Trish and Renee talking, with Harm asking if the bathtub pictures were going to be shown and Renee saying she wouldn’t show those to his mother. Trish shows Harm a ring that Frank gave her, and Renee drops a hint that she’d like one too.

JAG TV

Mac comes under the glare of media scrutiny when she's named to prosecute in JAG's first televised court martial. Meanwhile, Harm investigates the apparent suicide of a young sailor aboard an aircraft carrier. Harm’s scenes are the “B” story in his episode.

The Princess and the Petty Officer

A Navy petty officer illegally smuggled an Arab princess into the U.S. and married her. Mac represents the princess at an INS hearing and before an Islamic court, while Harm represents the petty officer in a military court. In an emotional scene at the end of this episode, Bud tells the Admiral that he and Harriett’s baby died in childbirth.

A Separate Peace (Parts 1 and 2)

Admiral Boone, about to become commander of the sixth fleet, is accused of massacring civilians during the Vietnam War. Mac prosecutes and Harm defends Boone.

Family Secrets

Bud sues Harriet's obstetrician for the death of their baby. Harm goes to California and tells his mom about Sergei. Mac and Mic become engaged in the last scene of this episode.

Touch and Go

Harm’s former partner, Kate Pike, returns for temporary duty at Jag and becomes involved in a sexual misconduct case against an Admiral. Mac and Mic have an engagement party at Jag. This ending scene features a poignant look between Mac and Harm as he considers Kate’s parting words about his involvement with Mac.

Baby, It’s Cold Outside

Harm defends a down-and-out Marine veteran facing prison under the three-strike law. AJ presides over a promotion board in which one of those under consideration for Captain is Teddy Lindsay, who now works for the SecNav.

Collision Course

When a U.S. ship collides with a Turkish ship during a NATO training exercise, the U.S. commander is made the scapegoat. AJ prosecutes and Mac and Harm defends.

Miracles

Harm defends a Marine sergeant major accused of attempted murder, who claims a "miracle" led him to the dark alley where he found his wife nearly beaten to death. This episode features the double date with Harm and Renee and Mac and Mic.

Killer Instinct

When a seaman's suicide aboard an aircraft carrier becomes a murder investigation, Harm and Bud aid in the search for the killer. The key suspect has a reputation for punishing underlings he deems to be "unfit" sailors. The suspect’s locker turns up a key piece of evidence linking him to the murder. But when the search is found to be illegal and the evidence inadmissible, Bud pretends to be inept in court to gain the suspect’s confession.

Iron Coffin

After a Russian submarine mysteriously explodes and sinks, Harm is persuaded by his Russian friend, Captain Volkonov, to join the inquiry. When Harm goes aboard another Russian submarine to complete the investigation, he finds it in a torpedo standoff with an American submarine carrying Mac. This episode includes Harm’s line to Mac: “I always know where you are.”

Retreat, Hell

When Private Rafael Rivera, a hero of the famous Marine battle at the Shosin Reservoir in Korea, is accused of being a deserter, Gunny goes to Albuquerque to bring him back to JAG for court-martial proceedings. But unbeknownst to either of them, locals are planning to kill Rivera because they recently discovered proof that he is the legal owner of the valuable land they claim is theirs. Moving up their timetable because of Rivera's departure, the locals ambush Gunny and Rivera, wounding Gunny and trapping them both at gunpoint. Meanwhile, Harm hits his head and begins having fantasies about Mac.

Valor

Harm and Mac travel to Bahrain to determine if a female Marine found aboard a terrorist boat that attacked a U.S. Naval destroyer was coerced into helping her captors or was a willing participant. During her trial, Webb arrives with information that the terrorists are planning another bombing and asks the Marine if she will help. This is the episode in which Renee and Harriett have a get-together and Renee wonders “if a sailor will make me a mommy.”

Liberty

While on liberty in Mexico, Mikey Roberts is charged with murder during a barroom brawl, and Harm, Bud and Big Bud come to his defense. They are aided by a “sting” operation with Gunny pretending to shoot Big Bud. Mac defends a Marine mascot bulldog charged with unauthorized absence.

Salvation

Harm's old nemesis, Clark Palmer, who claims to have found religion in prison, says he had a vision that could clear his newfound prison buddy, Marine Sgt. Krohn (from the episode “Miracles”) of the charge that he attempted to murder his wife.

To Walk on Wings

Harm and Mac are assigned to the JAG investigation and Congressional hearing following a near-accident involving the Osprey, a new and highly controversial Marine Corps part-helicopter, part-airplane. Catherine Bell’s real-life husband, Adam Beason, has a small role in this episode as Capt. Rayburn.

Past Tense

Harm’s former girlfriend, Lt. Cmdr. Jordan Parker, is murdered and Harm experiences emotional ups and downs as a grieving friend, a suspect and, eventually, the investigator of the crime.

Lifeline

In a bittersweet episode featuring flashbacks that recall their relationship, Harm and Mac finally speak from the heart about their relationship. The setting is Mac and Mic's engagement party at Adm. Chegwidden's, where the entire staff and their guests have gathered. When Harm slips out to the front porch to wait for Renee, Mac follows and throughout the evening they return there to reminisce about their fights and flirtations with romance. Mac who pushes Harm to let down his guard – to let go of his lifeline --and the passionate kiss that follows takes them both by surprise.

Mutiny

As Mac prepares to give a lecture on a famous naval case involving mutiny and executions aboard the U.S.S. Somers in 1842, and prepares for her upcoming wedding, she finds herself imagining her co-workers in the roles of those aboard the ship. Harm apologizes for the porch kiss in “Lifeline” and says he overstepped the bounds of a well-wisher.
