Date Posted: 22:50:26 09/16/02 Mon Finally got the stuff cleaned up and an image of it to post. Hey, all the best to Scott (Maine) for some great detecting hospitality while I was there. Had the best time.... Here is what I found searching some of those 1750s Maine cellar holes. Note - this is the fruit of about 40 to 50 hours of some hardcore detecting. It was well worth it. Some of the iron finds I decided to keep... This is neat hand forged stuff. I wire brushed them and then used Loctite Extend on them. The ax head is early to mid 1800s and the chisel from a 1700s. Those are my favorites Then for the other goodies... Check out the Colonial Bridge and road... It was a trip back in time. Really cool. Many miles of hiking.
