Subject: All of those examples are very interesting to me. I’ve been thinking she’s older and a little mellower, maybe allowing herself to relax and give up the reins - but if that’s her nature and she can’t change? Who knows? I think Rachel’s quiet strength will totally match anything Jenny can throw her way. I think Rachel and Ian will bend toward each other to make it work. Like Claire, Rachel has “lived through war”. She’s not a shrinking violet Quaker. And just from last week’s quotes we know what a huge heart Ian has, even though he is a wolf. I love this quote so much it was the theme for my Lallybroch ornament a few years ago.
