Subject: Betsy, I know what you mean about saving Dr.s butts! I am/was a physical therapist until I retired, and saved several Dr.s, especially residents from making mistakes. My favorite was a resident who prescribed gait training using crutches, bilateral non weight bearing, for a teen with bilateral slipped femoral capitus epiphisus prior to surgery. I asked if he was supposed to balance on his hands on the crutches????
