Subject: The connection between Ian and Rollo is so strong and well written. I was just listening to the weddings and when the congregation doesn’t immediately react well to Ian’s vows, when he cuts off Emily’s armband, and Rollo just gives a low, barely audible growl. He is so protective of Ian and probably wouldn’t still be alive if Ian hadn’t rescued him from the docks. This quote certainly does make me pause and picture it. Was it after Ian made the cairns for Jenny and Jamie?
