Thanks Joe, I haven’t gone back yet. But, I was wondering I always thought it should be no TV period meaning no VCR and no movies because these are still passive entertainment, which require no thought, and you can be disengaged. Do you think that’s like being just anti-sitcom and commercials? With reading or other activities a person needs to actively use their mind. Probably watching occasional movies is the best way to go but then I am afraid that it will be my favorite activity, I can see myself rewarding myself with movies if I just read that chapter or do other chores. I guess that’s my weakness and I know it’s up to me. I’m sure I’ll have these times of weakness. There are a lot of educational videos I’d like but then again I’ve said you can always read the book. One of the other reason’s I quit was because I thought when you’re watching TV your watching someone else’s life and not living your own. When you watch Seinfeld your watching his life, and I guess you could say that with any media including books, so I felt better when I spent my time supporting Shakespeare and Einstein over Friends and Frasier. But both reading comic books and writing music are good ideas. Thanks. Mike
