HAHAHAHAHAAAAA! Yeah.

Let me make up an improvised poem . . . here goes nothing . . .

TV

As the viewers stare,
Wide-eyed, hypnotized, entraced,
By the eerie blue glow . . .
The flickering light
Coming from a sea
Of rapidly shifting, random
Images.

Minds empty,
Unthinkingly allowing
The thoughts and ideas
Of a few, elite, 'invisible others'
To burn themselves onto that vapid space
Between their two ears.

All attention,
All eyes,
glazed over,
catatonic stupor,
In awe of the amazing TV god.
That gives them what they want
A life they do not have,
Virtually.

But all is just an illusion.
An empty delusion.
To read a book would cause confusion.
Words are hollow, have no meaning -
Just to sell a product, an idea,
A soul.

Lock yourselves in paranoia.
All is darkness outside.
And here we sit . . .
In isolation from the world,
Somewhere out there,
Somewhere.
