Subject: What do my parents say?
In reply to: SYNTARSUS 's message, "Hi Again" on 12:09:24 03/08/03 Sat

My parents make excuses, like: "I'm tired. I worked all day" , "So what if I watch TV . . . You like the 'evil' computer", "You stay on the computer all the time. That's just as bad."

I say: "I like to get e-mail from my friends and write stories and find out information. I can do constructive things with the computer. Maybe someday my stories and poetry will be published."

They just call me a computer addict, but I don't stay on the computer unless I find something to do. (like write back letters to people, or look up some information for an idea for a story.) Sometimes finding what you're looking for can take a long time. Though I'd rather go to the library and check out some books, I can't do that everyday.

Whenever I try to tell them something new that I've discovered, they tell me to be quiet because they're watching the 'important part of the movie'. Or, if I try to tell my mom during a commercial, she'll say, "I don't wanna' think. I want to relax", "You're hurting my brain!"

I'm thinking: 'Wow. Sorry.'

So, anyway . . . What do you think of THAT line: "I don't wanna' think." or "You're hurting my brain" ????

That's kind of pathetic, eh? <'sigh!'>
