Subject: post cut gelding

Hi, I need advise regarding post cut geldings. I have been asked to go and look at a post cut gelding here in New Zealand for a client of mine and to be honest don't know a lot about them. Apparently the gelding has never shown any aggression but i noticed that it is in a paddock away from the other horses (mares and geldings). Is it usual for a postcut gelding to act aggressively or can you get some decent ones. Some people have told me not to touch the connemara pony as it is for a 12 year old girl and it would be too dangerous. Any advise would be great!!
