Subject: Gelding my stud

I have a 10 yr. old black morgan stud. From 2 yrs to 5 yrs old I rode and drove him and never had problems. After that he was too studdy around other horses. Can only ride him away from other horses now.I have several of his colts and all are great. He is mean to older horses and beats em up bad.I'm thinking of gelding him. Will this settle him down to be a good trail horse again and how old is too old to geld him. Any advise will be appreaciated. please email me. tjsducts@gte.net Thank you.
