Subject: wintertime

I have a 7yr old QH mare. this is my 2nd winter with her. she stays in a 2 acre field with run in shelter. the ground of course gets poached and frozen. i worry because she doesn't like to walk on frozen ground. i'm not sure if she is scared or it is just hurting her hooves. i take her out of the field and walk her on even ground (of course , still frozen) and she still walks very tender. she was like this last year also. she is fine when ground is not frozen. just wondering if anyone could give any advice. i don't want her getting stiff from not much movement thanks
