Subject: Saw Diana in Asheville

She gave a nice summation, wanted to remind everyone that Echo _is NOT the last book_. There will be MORE!! She is not finished with the Revolution yet.
I don't know about you, but I am happy to hear that.

She is a beautiful, very gracious, considering the rabidness of her fans..wanting to know _where Exactly_ the Ridge is. Somewhere in a ten mile radius of Boone NC was the answer.
I can see hordes of well bred, very polite ladies knocking on every door in that area, wanting to know IF this was ever known as "Frasers Ridge". The State of NC may have to create a Ridge to keep us all happy and out of people's gardens and sheds "NO, I told you there was never any cabin on that spot. Please go away." LOL! at the idea of puzzled and besieged homeowners around Boone.

Saw her in Naperville, Il on Wednesday. No commitment to how many years till the next book, some funny stories about the hurry to get this one to press and where she ended up writing sections of it.
Saw it was #2 on the New York Times bestseller list this morning, pretty classy for a book that appeals most to people who are already fans.
And, it finally showed up on Audible.com, never even made their "coming soon" list.
I am saving mine for vacation next week...hard to wait.

No, but I would suggest you start with Outlander again and re-read slowly. I am always finding things I missed.

I read the first six books over 6 times each while waiting for AEITB to come out!

[> This reminds me of many years ago when I was standing outside Anne Rice's house in New Orleans, at the corner of First and Chestnut, petting her dogs thru the cast iron fence. Another fan came up and told me she'd been searching local phone books for hours, looking for Mayfairs! -- Lemora, 17:38:16 10/23/09 Fri

puzzled and besieged is not quite how I would describe those homeowners....armed and dangerous maybe....there are still moonshine stills to protect you know....;)....do I hear dueling banjos?....seriously would NOT go knocking on any doors up there though....

[> I saw Diana in Asheville also...it was awesome. I couldn't believe how many people showed up..about 500. I always thought I lived near Fraser's Ridge , but she said it's supposed to be in Boone. Thought they got more snow then we do in Asheville. -- Lady Lesley, 12:32:03 11/13/09 Fri
