Subject: Although not one of the 4 over-arching story lines in Echo, this mystery qualifies as another cliff hanger in my book. We knew from the beginning that Frank was working for English Intelligence during the war, so he might have known of other covert operations. Sorry, met my character limit, more inside......
In reply to: Ellen P. 's message, "Now I've got to go reread the part where Claire tells Roger about what Frank told her about the missing pilot. My first response is to wonder why Frank wouldn't make a connection between Rev. Wakefield and this lieutenant when Roger is introduced? Well, maybe not. Lots of Mackenzies, I suppose." on 15:20:58 10/20/09 Tue

It's Claire who surprises me that ~she~ did not make the connection. Frank would have known the story if it's true that Roger's father was also doing some kind of undercover work. I think by her revelations, Claire just opened the door that tiny crack. I'm guessing (hoping!) Roger pushes it all the way open and we find there is/was some connection between Frank and Jerry Mac. More intrigue..........and more material for a book 9 if I have my way!
