[> [> SP seems to be getting into a lot of stuff that Diana let go of through Voyager and on but there were hints dropped in the other LJ books (an Irish goose, now they're going to Ireland). And there were a few 'sort of' hints in Echo that Jamie has not ended his Jacobean contacts after all. Jamie was pretty adamant that he wanted nothing more to do with BPC or the Jacobities, but what we've seen so far suggests otherwise. And we know (from BOTB) that Jamie stayed far enough in the inner circle to find out about John's father. -- jayn, 11:22:45 10/25/10 Mon

[> [> [> Sorry, short answer forum *G*. I am thinking that SP might be important to book 8 the way BOTB (ie Percy) is important to Echo- you don't have to have read it but it sure makes things a lot clearer. -- jayn, 11:24:06 10/25/10 Mon

[> Scottish Prisoner excerpt -- Pamela Gagliardo (Wow, great!), 15:04:47 10/25/10 Mon

Howdy, Thanks so much whoever & however this was posted from Lord John and the Scottish Prisoner. Okay, I have probably missed this info but when will this book be out? Just can't wait. Is this the same book that had the excerpt about Lord John at the governor's house (I think) where there was a snake on the table? Cracked me up, dry, droll humor. I do hope it's the same book but if it's not, then does anyone know what book that lovely bit is from? Cheers, Pam

[> [> Lord John & the Scottish Prisoner is a full length novel featuring John & Jamie during Jamie's time at Helwater, hopefully due in late 2011. Lord John & the Plague of Zombies is set in Jamaica, evidently John went there on some official business several years before he went as governor in Voyager, it's a short story and part of an anthology but I'm not sure if it has a name, I think it's due 2011 - that's the snake one. -- jayn, 15:17:57 10/25/10 Mon
