Subject: I would find that disheartening. Not because LJG is gay-that has absolutely nothing to do with how I feel about him. I think that Claire, even if this excerpt is included (DG said she didn't even remember it!), would remain faithful to Jamie at this point even if she assumes he is dead and marry LJG in name only. How could she be with another man after Jamie and thier "speical bond & love"? I would at that point seriously be angry with Claire! In fact the reason she married him is for her protection. It just seems a littel to wierd and convenient for my taste-but that's JMHO.

According to what she said on compuserve, she had totaly forgotten about them and didn't even remember where they were. Perhaps the story is shaping up in a different way than this plotline. When I first read those scenes, I thought, what would make Jamie go to Scotland and leave Claire behind??? My next thought was that maybe Bree was pregnant & needed her.
