Subject: I can't blame her for wanting to take a job when they're in that sort of situation, and Roger is lame for not realizing that, but she could have broken it to him better. Didn't they talk about it first?

By the time I got married in 1969 it was accepted as the done thing mostly. Out here in Australia though women had to leave the teaching profession and some others if they got married! Quaint! Led to rumours about one of my kid's teachers , Miss Paterson, being the news of the school as being pregnant but luckily it turned out she'd been married to Mr Soanso for quite a while! LOL Some years in fact! -- Lolkate, 08:48:16 03/27/09 Fri
