On the last page of Chapter 63 of DOA, Claire is talking to Lord John after she and Jamie return from the Mohawk town where they left Ian. She says "Brianna says that Dr. Fentiman trephined your skull." Then asks if she can examine it because she's never seen a trepanation. ( This is after Lord John is injured when Stephen Bonnet escapes from the explosion in the warehouse near Cross Creek. In reply to:
