Date Posted:12:16:55 02/21/10 Sun Author: Lemora Subject: It's the one from a few months back. I saw it on Diana's website. From recent talk on the Boards, I thought there were some new excerpts from the Graphic Novel. But, there are not. Speaking of such things, I wonder what is happening with the latest attempt to bring "Outlander" to the screen. The "Braveheart" screenwriter, Randall Wallace, is doing it. (Personally, this doesn't thrill me.) I wonder how that's going. After seeing "Angels In America" on HBO, I am now hoping for a mini-series. But, I'd love to see the epic spectacle on the big screen. As for the possibility of a movie--I am not thrilled with anyone in Hollywood being involved--aaargh...in a perfect world would much rather have the sort of production we've seen on Masterpiece Theater for years.. They did a fabulous job with POLDARK (and everything else they touch!)and have no reason to believe the results would not be equally satisfying. It would involve several seasons! (Hey, Upstairs, Downstairs took 5 years!) There is no one that I can think of in Hollywood that could do Jamie Fraser justice... Claire, either, for that matter...And I disagree that Gerard Butler would make a good older Jamie..nonononono please!
