Might I remind you the Troi and Riker were TNG.... seeing as TNG takes place about 300 years after Enterprise. Therefor, it would be impossible for his lost love to be one of them. Maybe, though, his lost love could be one of their ancestors, or something. I also think it would be a good idea if they gave more about Archer's family and history. But I think they should also do something about everyone else, too. Just because the captain and the star of the show, doesn't mean everything has to revolve around him. And, most likely, they will develope some kind of history for each crew member. But thats just my opinion.
