Distinction or no distinction, I never give a shit. Do you guys think that the number of distinctions we made in the CE or AL exams has a lot to do with what we are today ?

I agree with both of you.

I would prefer soundly educated young men with ability to learn and explore the world independently to a whole bunch of bookworms with 10As.

Wahyan may not have the best teachers or results around, it is the spirit and the friendship which she gave me that I cherish most.

Of course, not all 10As are bookworms and in fact many of them are intelligent young people. However intelligence is not the same as wisdom, there are lots of other factors that could make an even larger difference (e.g. EQ, that was so popular a few years back and of course luck).

No wonder, with the exception of the magnificent Dr. John Lam, the one who got most distinctions among us fares worst today.
