As to puppymills, you do have a point, but every registry registers to them too. Even if registries are doing it UNKNOWLINGLY, they're still doing it. So it's a multifaceted problem.
What I am saying is that AKC didn't create the problem. It's been there all along.
There is no perfect system, but AKC will HELP more than anything.
The fact that AKC requires DNA on males and on all dogs inported helps greatly slow down the puppy mills.

It's already helped in many breeds.
