Tara,

Everyone here is just concerned about the outcome of the breed, and the future for the pups.
Producing sickly dogs or ones that ends up in rescue is something everyone here is trying to prevent.

Just because your pups will be from an inbreeding does not mean they'll be sickly or end up in rescue. However, that is often the outcome.

There are lots of people who do inbreed and produce healthy dogs (in any breed)and they get lucky and have wonderful pups.

However, the idea is to only breed a dog when you are intimately schooled on the breed tendancies, breed type, breed working ability and the list goes on.

At this point, if your girls are pregnant, all you can do is sit back, hope for the best and see what kind of hand DNA deals to you.

Either way, from here on out, just be very responsible in what you do with the pups.

I would make sure that any who have any faults are sterilized before you put them in new homes. And, any who may have health issues should probably be euthanized unless they can be maintained comfortably on medication through their life.

Don't jump the gun and worry right now. Just wait & see.

And, I am sure that if you are raising and placing your 2 potential litters responsibly, that everyone on this list will be willing to help guide you & offer advice.

Michelle
