Surely you are not making the case that because few do, most will. I say that because IMO today most DDB’s are selected first for there type (show) therefore because of that, most can be expected to perform best at what they were bred for, showing. As I have often written the only way to create a useful dogs is to breed it to another proven one on an ongoing basis. There is no other way to maintain a working trait. Moreover I looked the links you provided and frankly they don't tell me much. Having a dog stand in harness does not tell me he will pull on a very hot day for a long period of time. That link only tell me he will accept a harness. I'm not saying that, that dog might or might not pull but that link does not demonstrate that. The other links, for the most part, on guarding and protection, are at best only confirming an instinct as there was no pressure by the helper on the dog and that pressure is the only way to validate the trait to guard and protect. Again I’m not saying that *those* dog won’t I only saying that those videos don’t confirm that they will, under extreme pressure. The only way to confirm your trait of dog fighting is to breed to another proven dog fighter on an ongoing basis. Don’t believe me just ask the breeders of game APBT’s what there opinion of show APBT’s are, or bring a show APBT to a pit for a roll and you won’t have to wait long for the results. Ask them if they would consider breeding to a show APBT. There answer would be of course no, because that breeding would be of no benefit to them, as would bring weak non-functional i.e., show, genetics into there working line and would dilute the trait that they have been breeding for. Same answer would be given byr working Lab breeder’s or working anything breeder’s.

Moreover I think it best for you to stop suggesting that a dog bred for showing is equal to a dog bred for work. Breeding science and breeding history has long ago proven otherwise.
