It is not possible, in any meaningful numbers, to have a show dog perform in the same manner as a dog bred for that work because in order for a working dog to perform at his zenith all who went before him had to have been selected for that work. In the same way that a show dog that wins will only be bred to other show dogs that win and for the same reason. I can't see what is wrong with the phenotype of dogs that perform. After looking at the many physical cripples walking around the show ring, it amuses me that the show community believes they have a monopoly on the definition of beauty. If a show dog is able to perform by rising above its inferior breeding, that occurrence will be a fluke or happenstance, and it will be an exercise in futility if you think that fluke can be replicated by breeding it to another show dog. Why you and your ilk keep insisting on this fairytale, of show working equality is beyond me. There must be a reason that working dogs are not bred to show dogs and that reason is it is of no benefit to either.
