Subject: Ziggy graduates basic obedience

Ziggy, age 41/2 moths,graduated from his basic obedience class today holding the record for the longest sit stay. He is going on for his CGC.

The trainer remarked that "his ears are ticking." This comment caught me by surprise. She explained that his ears were developing dark "tick" spots. Is this unique to the breed? Does it indicate breed origins such as mastiff, African molosser etc?
