There is a particular Boerboel bloodline that I know of that has shown a tendency through the years to produce unstable animals. There have been a few from this line that have shown unprovoked aggression towards owners and family members and more than a few that have been put down due to very poor temperament - either fear or aggression.

It would be interesting to know what line this dog was out of.
